Head of Third-Party Manufacturing Tech Services Europe
Our client, a Dublin based Pharmaceutical organisation are currently recruiting for a Head of Third Party Manufacturing Technical Services to join their team. The ideal candidate will come from an Oral Solid Dosage background, experience in Tech Transfer and will have people management experience.

Responsibilities
• Support and deliver on projects (process changes, alternate source qualifications for API and tech transfer of formulations) at Third Party Manufacturers. Insure smart, cost efficient and high quality products, processes, methods and seamless technology transfers
• Deliver solutions for scientific and technological issues in alignment with internal functions and external partners
• Project manage product related changes in manufacturing and analytical testing in agreed timeframes
• Provide optimum qualitative and quantitative resources to projects with Third Party Manufacturers
• Give strategic advice on Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) projects
• Lead and manage the department, set strategy, define roles and responsibilities, develop and motivate qualified staff
• Planning and managing the departmental budget including internal and external resources and capital expenditures
• Ensure organizational compliance with all quality, regulatory, financial, human resources, and ethics policies

Requirements
• PhD or advanced academic degree in a scientific or technical field, preferably in Life Sciences (pharmacy, chemistry, analytical chemistry)
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in related areas, e.g. manufacturing, project management, development environment (chemical, analytical, pharmaceutical) and 5+ years management experience
• Experience managing budgets and financial planning. The incumbent is expected to manage, plan, and own a significant budget
• Exhibits a thorough understanding of CMC drug development with a good understanding of the manufacturing environment and constraints (e.g. GMP)
