Our client is a world leader the field of in vitro diagnostics for over 50 years. They focus on infectious diseases, providing automated systems and reagents for both medical analysis and product quality control in the agri-food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. They currently have a vacancy for their Irish Territory for the role on Product Specialist (Sales) for the Microbiology range. This is a Field Based role covering all 32 counties in Ireland.
·To achieve agreed sales targets for relevant product groups
·To follow the marketing strategies, promotional programme and to spend time where it can have most effect using their system to its full extent to maintain, plan and oversee the basics of territory operation.
·To promptly answer questions from customers relating to the products of the appropriate division.
·To provide some customer training and technical support to customers on all relevant products through demonstrations and professionally conducted trials.
·To develop and maintain relationships with all customers and influencers within the allocated accounts by regular visits in order to engender a professional selling environment to the benefit of the company.

·To organise, attend and report on all exhibitions and workshops as required.
·To actively seek and report changes in relevant markets that may affect the performance of the product group and to feedback and advise on company marketing strategy.
·To assist in the production of all quotations and tenders relating to the relevant product group in line with company pricing strategy and mindful of any Purchasing Hub agreements.
·Degree in Science – preferably Microbiology/Biology
·Previous sales experience is preferable but not essential
·A strong clinical microbiology background.
·The ideal candidate will be confident, adaptable, self-motivated, analytical, and able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, with excellent communication and presentation skills
