Quality Systems Lead - Localization


Essential Responsibilities:
Leads and develops quality initiatives on site to meet key deliverables / targets, customer expectations, revenue and profitability. Further develops and reviews the Lean model.
Manage and maintain the quality management system in line with ISO 9001:2008, ISO14971:2007, EN15038:2006 and ISO13485:2003 and any other client requirements.
Continuously create awareness of quality systems and processes by training, coaching and supporting employees on their responsibilities in line with company processes and client expectations.
Engages with local stakeholders and vendors to identify quality improvement areas; propose solutions and implement.
Perform regular internal audits to ensure adherence to the Quality System and coach employees when required.
Lead customer audits and any other external party meetings (supporting Sales and Operations) as needed, to ensure thorough understanding and satisfaction with the Company Quality System.
Keep up to date with any quality standards or forums relevant to the Translation & Localization industry. Maintains and shares up-to-date knowledge of quality and process trends in the industry
Provide training and support to employees and vendors during set up of any new workflow processes.
Identifies critical quality risks that may require immediate action and supports the Corrective Action process as required.
Defines quality metrics, targets, control mechanisms and manage their measurement via Six Sigma and other process methodologies
Takes the lead on quality issues at client/project meetings and is the escalation point for issues that impact on the customer experience.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Degree qualified, ideally in Engineering, Science or Quality.
3 to 5 years experience in a quality role within a highly focused manufacturing or service environment.
Experience in Lean, Six Sigma or other problem solving methodologies.
Excellent presentation and communication skills with previous experience of engaging with clients / customers on quality matters.
Internal Lead Auditor qualification is advantageous.
Knowledge and experience of the translation and localization industry is desirable.
Ability to multi-task in a time sensitive, deadline driven work environment and experience in staying cool under pressure.
Detail orientated yet flexible to changing work requirements.
