Regulatory Officer - Maternity Cover

Our client is a research & development driven organisation, based in Drogheda. They are seeking a Regulatory Officer for a Maternity contract. This role is responsible for product claims & communication compliance across all global brands and markets. The position requires creative & scientific experience and will engage cross functionally to ensure compliance to relevant regulations & adherence to company policies & brand guidelines. On the job training will be provided for the sucessful person.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure communications are fully compliant with relevant guidelines and global regulations, specifically Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009.
  • Ensure product claim substantiation on all packaging, advertising, website and communication materials and approve artwork.
  • Manage product claims standards and ensure regulatory product compliance across all brands/markets.
  • Interpret disparate informative into cohesive briefs ensuring delivery and clarity of projects throughout the business.
  • Support new product claims through various methods of clinical, instrumental and consumer testing.
  • Inform brand teams of any regulatory threats or opportunities for their products, working together to define and implement the best approach to new regulatory requirements or challenges.
  • Support innovation projects from aregulatory point of view, educating and supporting project leaders and members to enable achievement of goals.
  • Support the defence of challenges from external parties to new or existing claims or any issues relating to our products and brands.
  • Liaise with external agencies to organise 3rd party testing or achieve independent accreditations.
  • Assist the regulatory team members in product registration and documentation control as necessary
  • Other duties, as required.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • A minimum of aBachelor's degree in science or related technical field
  • Experience working in aregulatory compliance role is desirable; ideally cosmetics regulations, but Pharma regulatory backgroud will also be considered.
  • An understanding of the reasons for regulation and compliance guidelines.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical and organizational skills
  • Creative, self-motivated, ability to prioritise workload with good judgement skills
  • Detail orientated, accurate and excellent record keeping skills
