About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager tosupport the business to define, develop and deliver a large-scale global project. The role would be responsible for recognising areas for improvement within the defined scope, as-well as overseeing all areas of the project; implementing any operational changes and delivering measurable improvements; reviewing new and existing processes, resources and systems, in line with the transformation.

Key responsibilites

  • Facilitate and assist to drive the pre-design, design, configuration, testing, training and phased deployment of the software globally.
  • Responsible for the scoping, planning, executing and reporting of project according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Lead and direct execution of the project end to end with a strong focus on change management, cultural change and the project management of deployment of the software in over 100 sites globally.
  • Maintain a master project plan to include as a minimum the communications plan, weekly status reports, and project schedules and liaise with all workstreams to ensure milestones and plans are managed
  • Owns communication of the project status to the sponsor and stakeholder community.
  • Ensure that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to the project sponsor and all affected team members
  • Collect, review and publish project status with regard to resources (people and financial), schedule (time), stakeholder management, risks and the features that influence project performance and completion
  • Manage and identify the requirement for project resources and mobilisation of specialist skills.

Qualifications and skills

Skills Requirements:

  • Key competencies required; critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, influencing, project planning, negotiation and stakeholder management
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including proven ability to establish and run effective Steering Committees. Effective negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and coach cross-functional teams within a fast moving global organisation
  • Willingness to be ‘hands-on’ when required

  • Experience of leading projects in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous

Education and Experience

  • A recognised project management qualification
  • 5+ years direct work experience in project management capacity
  • Experience of leading projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to lead and coach others
  • Analytical with strong business acumen
  • Flexible and adaptable with excellent ability to work cross functionally within an organisation
