We are currently recruiting for a Senior Social Work Practitioner based in a Dublin hospital. This hospitalknows that human values are just as important in patient care as are the doctor’s skill, the nurse’s care or the chemist’s drugs. The new staff member will be joining a dynamic and caring team of healthcare professionals.

The post holder must:


  • National Qualification in Social Work or hold a qualification which has been accredited by the National Social Work Qualifications Board
  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience as a Social Worker
  • Experience of complex case management is essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Acute Hospital Experience




Desirable:

It is desirable for the post holder to have:


  • Medical Social Work experience
  • Interest in the area of Oncology/Palliative Care and working with families and groups
  • Appropriate IT skills

  1. Problem solving skills: Have good decision making and problem solving skills.

  1. Adaptability and Flexibility. Be flexible and have an on-going positive acceptance of and adaptability to changes in the services

  1. Teamwork skills: Have the ability to build effective working relationships with others co-operate with colleagues to achieve goals and is sensitive to their needs.
