Our client is seeking a Director of Global Business Development to join a leading branch of their Pharmaceutical organization specializing in Medical Devices with Artificial Intelligence. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Global Business Development. This pivotal role involves driving global business development efforts and enhancing market presence to align with the company’s vision and growth objectives. It will be based out of their Dublin office with travel globally to visit potential partners who will be start-ups & various sizes of Medical Device AI development organizations globally.

Their dedication to excellence has resulted in creating their AI-enabled medical device for live endoscopy and this has received FDA approval and is successfully deployed in hospitals worldwide, making a significant impact in the field of healthcare.

Reporting to the President of the Medical Device branch of the organization the successful candidate shall:

Role/Responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape, providing actionable insights to the executive team.
  • Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions to expand the company’s global footprint.
  • Product Innovation: Collaborate with R&D and product teams to align product development with market needs and goals.
  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against goals and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Communication: Articulate business development plans effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in global business development within the medical devices or the connected healthcare industry. Focus on AI technologies preferred.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving business growth, forming strategic partnerships, and leading high-impact projects.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Proficient in English; a second language is highly preferred.
    • Personal Attributes:
