Quality Control (QC) Technician
Our client are currently recruiting for a Quality Control (QC) Technician to perform in-house QC testing on incoming raw materials, raw samples, and finished products. This is a permanent role with on-site working.

Responsibilities:

  • Lab Operations: Perform all day-to-day functions and duties within laboratory operations.
  • Testing & Evaluation: Conduct standard routine tests (Brix, pH, turbidity, etc.) on products and evaluate incoming raw material samples for compliance with specifications.
  • Sample Management: Select and prepare standard samples for comparison with production outputs; manage the collection, review, and filing of Certificates of Analysis (CoAs).
  • Compliance & Documentation: Document critical safety and quality requirements (including HACCP and related food safety programs). Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
  • External Coordination: Prepare and organize samples destined for outside laboratory testing as required.
  • Inventory & Maintenance: Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments regularly. Manage the organization, storage, and disposal of QC retained samples, while ensuring a clean workspace and sufficient inventory of supplies/reagents.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and report problem areas within the QC function, recommend solutions, and demonstrate skill in implementing procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Adherence to Standards: Strictly adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), safety procedures, and testing specifications.
Requirements:
  • Education: Relevant Bachelor’s degree required (e.g., Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory or quality control setting.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Core Competencies: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
