Senior Manager Bioanalytical QC Lab
Our client, a global pharma company, are currently recruiting for a Senior Manager to lead the Bioanalytical Laboratory within the Quality Control Laboratory (QCL) team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a next-generation facility from the ground up, integrating cutting-edge technology and data-driven approaches. This is a permanent role based in Limerick. Previous people management experience is essential for the role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct the Bioanalytical team to meet analytical timelines, ensure regulatory compliance, and continuously improve lab quality systems
• Set annual objectives and performance metrics; drive strategic goals through effective leadership
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
• Oversee training programs, career development plans, and performance reviews
• Review and approve quality documentation in accordance with procedures
• Collaborate with site and external digital teams to design, build, and maintain QCL digital systems
• Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and scientific excellence

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Analytical Sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology)
• Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical or biotech environment
• Deep knowledge of cGMPs and pharmaceutical laboratory regulations
• Hands-on experience with analytical techniques including:
• Immunoassays
• Quantitative PCR
• Chromatography
• Capillary Electrophoresis
• Spectroscopy
• Strong understanding of data integrity principles and their application in a digital laboratory setting
