Senior Scientific Officer
Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Scientific Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is comfortable operating at the intersection of academia, laboratory research, and commercial strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Scientific Leadership: Design cutting-edge research programs, interpret complex evidence, and publish peer-reviewed research.
  • Commercial & Product Innovation: Partner with multinational companies to discuss product innovation and help design new commercial testing services.
  • Global Representation: Present at international conferences, deliver keynote lectures, and contribute actively to international standards committees and advisory groups.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop the next generation of younger scientists within the organization.
  • Strategic Vision: Work alongside executive leadership to help shape the long-term scientific direction of the entire group.
Requirements
Scientific Background
  • Education: PhD or equivalent deep research experience in a relevant field.
  • Relevant Disciplines: Aerosol Science, Environmental Health/Chemistry/Toxicology, Exposure Science, Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering, Virology, Microbiology, Immunology, Indoor Air Quality, Building Physics, Fluid Dynamics, or Public Health.
Industry Experience
Ideal candidates will have successfully bridged the gap between academia and industry, with experience in one or more of the following:
  • Industrial R&D or Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
  • Testing laboratories and regulated scientific environments.
  • Medical technologies, healthcare, or diagnostics.
  • Environmental/air cleaning technologies, HVAC, filtration, or building science.
