​The Technical Sales Specialist role is customer focused including both sales and support and involves promoting our clients Endoscopy offering by working closely with the Field Sales Manager (FSM).

You will work closely with the existing field-based team to deliver, install, maintain and support our clients medical products and associated equipment. You will support users as and when required to facilitate the use of capital and consumable products.Working as part of the Endotherapies team to achieve targets for Capital Endoscopy.

Responsibilities:

Not limited to but will include:

  • To have a comprehensive knowledge of the businesses which they work within and with regards to product range, technical specifications, prices, features, benefits and clinical applications
  • Education of customers and team members in the practical features, benefits, handling of product, new technologies and the techniques employed in using the equipment
  • To inspect, repair and service medical equipment in the field
  • Manage and maintain Demo equipment to ensure all components are maintained to correct standards
  • To provide emergency assistance to customers, when required
  • Co-ordinate & conduct installations, equipment maintenance, repair, and breakdown
  • Support at customer sites and to ensure that any work undertaken complies with the relevant manufacturers’ quality procedure relating to that service or activity while being compliant with our SLA’s.
  • Reviewing the territory’s performance with the Field Sales Manager on a regular basis and write any required monthly reports
  • Scan for and report on competitors’ activity on assigned territory. Mapping of territory will be a key aspect of this role.
  • Promoting and where required supporting nurse study days, exhibitions and workshops on the territory.
  • To communicate regularly with the Field Sales Manager and attend planned conference calls and monthly sales meetings
  • Effective use of up-to-date product literature and presentations to all relevant and influential stakeholders
  • Regular liaison with Service Department to ensure that customers are taking good care of equipment

Education/Experience:
  • 2+ years’ experience of clinical and technical knowledge
  • Drive and ambition to achieve results.
  • Business acumen.
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to meet frequently with customers.
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout assigned territory
  • A full clean driver’s licence.
  • A flexible approach to work and be able to enthusiastically embrace change and new challenges
