Microbiologist
Our client, a world class monitoring and testing organisation, are currently recruiting for a Microbiologist to join their growing and expanding business. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience working in micro lab. Experience working in an ISO 17025 or ISO 15189 is a distinct advantage. This role is based in Louth and you must be available to work on site, 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Work with a range of food and water samples
• Work with a range of micro biota
• Adhere to all health and safety requirements
• Ensure all analysis is carried out as per the SOP and to the requirements of ISO 17025
• Update SOPs and GOPs as required
• Work to daily schedules and planning work each day
• Ensure data is collected and recorded to data systems appropriately
• Assist with improvement projects and new method development
• Ensure work is completed to the required quality and standards

• Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ experience in a microbiological environment
• Experience working in an ISO 17025 or ISO 15189 environment an advantage
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
• Strong leadership skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and act with integrity
• Good PC skills
• Fluent spoken and written English
