Sales Specialist (Life Sciences)

In partnership with some of the leading manufacturers from across the world our clienthas established itself as one of Ireland's leading distributors of laboratory supplies and equipment to the Clinical, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Veterinary, University and Research industries.

Their productportfolio covers a wide range of Diagnostics including Microbiology, Autoimmune Serology, Clinical Chemistry, Immunoassay,withthe recentintroduction ofReal Time Molecular Diagnostics. Other product lines includeBlood Collection Systems, POC, Medical Devices, Liquid handling consumables andInstrumentation/Automation, Healthcare IT Systems, Consumables and Calibration/Validation Services.

The Role:
They are currently seeking an enthusiastic, driven individual looking for an opportunity to work in a commercial setting. The successful candidate will work as part of the Sales organisation & will engage with customers throughout the sales cycle based on expert knowledge of both the technology & associated applications.

Product range:
The candidate will be responsible for sales support and customer training on consumables and reagents to third level, government lab, food labs and industry.

Role/ Responsibilities:

• Work independently, and as part of the Sales organisation team, to support life science products.
• Perform applications support and training.
• Be client-focused and customer centric, working in conjunction with the Applications and Service teams in relation to company goals & objectives.
• Active participation in conferences, seminars and exhibitions, including exhibition stand duty.
• This is a customer facing role so the candidate will be required to travel and meet customers on a regular basis in the 26 counties.

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a Life Science Sales Role.
• A minimum degree in Biological or equivalent life science field is required.
• Proven ability to work remotely & independently, excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload in an effective manner.
• Strong organisational & planning skills required.
• Must be willing to travel extensively around Ireland as required.
• Good working knowledge of Word & Excel an advantage
• Clean driving licence is essential.
