Our client is a Dublin-based life-sciences company supplying research reagents (ELISA kits, antibodies, recombinant proteins and multiplex immunoassays) to academic, clinical and biopharma R&D customers worldwide, through a global network of distribution partners.

They are currently seeking a Distribution/ Channel Partner Manager to grow their distributor channel revenue in line with company expectations. You will take ownership of a global network of distribution partners across four regions, put it on a structured, performance-managed footing where every active partner works to an agreed annual plan, and expand it into new and under-served markets.

It is a role for someone who is comfortable setting targets and holding partners to them as they are building the relationship.

Reports to: Sales Director / CEO

Location: Hybrid, with international travel

Type: Full-time

Role/Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility: grow distributor channel revenue in line with company expectations.

Grow and manage the existing network

  • Own the commercial relationship and revenue performance of the existing distributor base across all four regions.
  • Agree a written annual business plan with each active partner, covering revenue targets, visits, webinars, trade-show participation, promotions, marketing support and training needs.
  • Run structured quarterly business reviews with each partner against that plan, documenting agreed actions and following through on them.
  • Hold partners accountable to agreed targets and activities, identifying under-performance early and acting on it.
  • Prioritise support and management time toward the partners with the greatest value and potential.
Expand into new markets
  • Identify priority unserved and under-served countries and build the pipeline of potential partners.
  • Run the full recruitment cycle: market research, outreach, evaluation and due diligence, commercial terms, contracting and onboarding.
  • Recruit and onboard new distribution partners, bringing each to productivity within a defined ramp window.
Enablement and support
  • Deliver and coordinate product training for distributors so their teams can confidently sell the full range.
  • Conduct joint customer and key-account visits with partners and run in-person seminars with partners and their customers.
  • Represent our client at key international trade shows, meeting partners, coordinating distributor stand presence and scouting new-market prospects.
  • Coordinate distributor-facing webinars, co-marketing and promotional campaigns with the internal marketing/communications function.
  • Ensure partners have current pricing, product information and training resources.
Commercial administration
  • Administer distributor pricing and discount tiers within agreed guardrails.
  • Manage territories and channel conflict, resolving overlaps between distributors or with the direct sales book early.
  • Own distributor contracts and compliance, keeping every active partner on a current, adhered-to agreement.
Team leadership and pipeline
  • Line-manage the Distributor Development Representative (DDR), setting targets and coaching to performance.
  • Own full visibility and control of the channel pipeline, driving deals to close within company-agreed timeframes.
Reporting and forecasting
  • Maintain accurate distributor revenue reporting, pipeline and forecasts for the Sales Director / CEO.
Education/Experience:

Essential
  • 2+ years in channel / distributor management, international B2B sales, or a comparable commercial role.
  • Life-science degree or strong scientific literacy, given the technical catalogue (ELISA kits, antibodies, recombinant proteins, multiplex assays, genomics reagents).
  • Experience growing revenue through third-party distributors, and a genuine appetite for recruiting and onboarding new partners.
  • Sets targets and follows through: able to give a specific example of how you have handled an underperforming partner or account.
  • Well-organised and effective working remotely with limited supervision, and willing to travel internationally.
  • CRM and pipeline-reporting proficiency.
Desirable
  • Existing relationships or market knowledge in one or more of the network's regions.
  • Experience recruiting new distribution partners in new territories.
Package
  • Competitive base salary, negotiable depending on experience and discussed during the process, plus performance-linked commission and bonus tied to distributor channel revenue growth and new-partner targets
  • Company pension contribution
  • Laptop and mobile phone provided
  • Paid annual leave and standard company benefits
  • All reasonable business travel and expenses covered
